If you feet hurt, it seems that everything hurts. Foot problems also seem to increase with age. At Home Care of Ecumen Parmly LifePointes recognizes the importance of foot care, especially as we age. Some changes in the feet are normal with aging; other changes may be an indicator that you may want to consider a foot examination:
Foot pain; ankle, calf or shin pain
Pain, redness or swelling below or in the back of the heel
Irritations on the top or sides of your toes
Red, cracked skin or white irritation between the toes
Painful corns, calluses or bunions
Clinics are held at Point Pleasant Heights on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Each visit is $28 and includes a general assessment, clipping and filing of nails and lotion applied to feet and lower legs. For more information call 651-257-7337.

The grieving process is different for everyone, but a support group can help. Grief can be openly shown or disguised and felt on many levels that those suffering may not associate as grieving. Some may experience physical grief ranging from minor aches and other types of health issues, while others may experience issues with concentration and memory. Grief can influence us spiritually. We may search for meaning or find ourselves moving closer or further away from our faith. Learning about the experiences of others can be helpful support in knowing what you are going through is ‘normal’ and that you are not alone.
Our group discussions will be an open forum style and focus on the loss of a parent or spouse. Everyone with any type of loss at any time in their life is welcome. Participants should register prior to their first session and do not have to be a Vitalize! member.
For more information or to register, contact Mara Krinke, Community Outreach Coordinator, 651-257-7956 or MaraKrinke@ecumen.org. All sessions are held in the Club room, of the Vitalize! Wellness Centre, 10720 282nd Street, Chisago City.
