Marie Hutchinsen is an excellent example of someone who wants to remain independent as long as possible. She rides the Senior Shuttle, a service of Transit Plus, to the Adult Day Club three times a week to participate in “Reach for the Stars.” When her doctor approves, she would like to return to the Halsa Klubb, to exercise on the senior friendly Nautilus equipment.

Her fascinating hobby of collecting antiques buttons also keeps her very involved. She began collecting 20 years ago by purchasing her first button from Mrs. Carl Holmes at an auction. Today, her collection consists of thousands of buttons with the earliest one from the 1600’s Just a few examples are shown here.
