Vindauga View Resident, Millie Bell |
After 5 years, Vindauga View is still her home.
It was 5 years ago during August, 2002 that Clifford and Millie Bell moved into Vindauga View Assisted Living Apartments as one of the original tenants. Their time together here was short since Clifford died in January, 2003.
Millie describes Vindauga as “a beautiful place and it feels like home.” She embraces the spirituality at Parmly LifePointes. Having a full time pastor, two chapel services a week and “everything in between” are important to her. Millie also represents Vindauga View on the Spiritual Advisory Committee. At Parmly, Millie says, “I get my spiritual batteries recharged!”
It must be Wednesday, and time for Millie and her friend, Delores Thatcher, to begin their early walk from their apartments to the worship service. They want to be there in time to get a seat in one of the front rows. What? She wants to sit in the front row? Says Millie with a smile, “I’m a rebel.” |
