| What is Parkinson’s disease? It is a disorder of the central nervous system involving primarily a degeneration of certain nerve cells in deep parts of the brain called the basal ganglia, and in particular a loss of nerve cells (or neurons) in a part of the brainstem called the substania nigra. |

The APDA is sponsoring a monthly support and educational group hosted at The Residence that meets at a NEW day and time on the 4th Thursday of the month at 2 pm in the Chapel View Multi Purpose Room, Parmly LifePointes.

Alzeimer's and Memory Loss Support Group

The Alzheimer's and Memory Loss Support Group meets the 4th Monday of the month at 6 pm in the Club Room in the Vitalize! Wellness Centre, Parmly LifePointes.
Reservations will be taken for respite care. Contact Heidi LaMeyer at 651-257-7332 for further information. This support group is affiliated with the Alzheimer's Association of Minnesota-North Dakota.
